20mm "Modern Conflicts" Commission Work.

I don't think I've posted these pictures before:

They represent work from three different commissions, that is why there is such a variety of basing.

20mm US Airborne for Normandy Part 1

I have been painting some more miniatures for Matt from Elhiem Figures. This time it's US Airborne which I have painted as the 82nd "All American". These are painted and sculpted in the Normandy uniform which was a different cut & colour to the later gear issued for Market Garden etc.
I really enjoyed painting these & even managed some unit insignia on the arms. The figures are really worth getting if you have any interest in building a US Airborne force in 20mm.

I am just finishing the second batch which will include some special weapons & other interesting figures.

The Archers...Not the Ambridge Variety

These are metal Gripping Beast 28mm Anglo Saxon archers. Not sure when I finished these. I think I mentioned before, I've been working on the Anglo Saxons over the last couple of years - when not doing commission painting. I mostly work on them in the evenings and weekends.

Elite Anglo-Saxon warriors, thegns & hearthguard, musician & standard bearer. Miniatures from Eureka Miniatures Beowulf range, Blacktree Designs, & Gripping Beast.
I really like the Beowulf range from Eureka, great fun to paint & full of character - those full faced helms are very menacing I reckon. Shields designs are a combination of freehand and decals.

More to be or eight more groups, possibly more if I get them painted :-)
